The IT team is happy to announce that we will be beginning weekly AMA sessions on Wednesdays. AMA stands for 'Ask Me Anything', and we mean it. It was going to be 'Ask Us Anything', but that doesn't abbreviate as well.
Need to figure out your Gmail settings? Can't find that Google Drive file? Want to know if you can use pivottables in Google Sheets? Want to know what a pivottable is? Well, now you can. No question is too silly or stupid. We want you to ask and learn how you can improve all that you do, on a computer or other IT system anyway.
The first session will be on Wednesday the 28th at 12 PM DC Time (GMT-4). We'll alternate each week between noon and 7 AM DC Time, to ensure that as many folks around the world can tune in if they wish. So, the next session will be on Wednesday 4 April at 7 AM.
We'll be using GoToMeeting for these meetings. Why not Google? Because with GoToMeeting, we'll also have the ability to work with you right on your screen if you want. If you need any help logging in, don't hesitate to let us know at email@example.com.
We'll hang around for an hour or so each time, and continue until we get to everyone. Watch your inbox for the calendar invites in just a few minutes!
For an example of the types of things we'll mention, take a look below.
Search Staff Directory - Available from any browser window!
Need a name, phone number, title, email address, even a picture? Now, you can access this right from any webpage, just by using the Chrome Extension that is installed right in your browser!
How does it work?
If you've logged into Chrome using your Search account, the Bamboo directoryt plug-in is already installed.
Otherwise, go here to download it.(Although logging into Chrome has lots of benefits...we can tell you all about them on Wednesday.)
